The Ridge began during the summer of 2009 when the South Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church appointed Rev. Jimmy McIlrath and his family to start a new church in the Columbus area. The church began meeting in his home with a God-given vision to reach people who weren't already going to church.
In December 2023 we finally began worshipping in our own facility at 3021 Williams Road, Suite 1, Columbus, GA 31909. Our new facility is amazing!

Everything we do at The Ridge is designed to connect people with Jesus Christ. We desire to reach people where they are and help them realize that God loves them and has a purpose for their lives.

We want people to "experience" two things: 1. The love of Jesus Christ and 2. a different kind of church. We also believe that a great covenant to the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) will grow a great church!
