“Seen, Known, and Strengthened”
Scripture: “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” — Proverbs 31:25
There is something sacred about the quiet strength of a mother. It’s found in the early mornings no one else sees, the whispered prayers over sleeping children, the steady presence in seasons of chaos, and the deep love that keeps showing up, again and again.
Motherhood, in all its forms, is not just a role; it’s a calling. And like every calling, it comes with both beauty and burden. There are days filled with laughter and joy, and others marked by exhaustion, doubt, and even heartache. Yet through it all, God sees. He sees every sacrifice, every tear, every unseen moment of faithfulness.
In Scripture, we’re reminded that true strength isn’t loud or flashy; it’s rooted in trust. The woman described in Proverbs 31 doesn’t just endure; she stands firm because her life is anchored in the Lord. Her confidence about “the days to come” isn’t because life is easy; it’s because God is faithful.
This Mother’s Day, we celebrate and honor the women who reflect God’s love so beautifully. Whether you are a mother, a spiritual mother, longing to be a mother, or remembering one, your story matters. Your faithfulness matters. And most importantly, you are deeply known and loved by God.
If today feels joyful, give thanks.
If today feels heavy, take heart, God is near.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the gift of mothers and the women who pour out love in countless ways. Strengthen them where they are weary, encourage them where they feel unseen, and remind them that their labor in You is never in vain. Clothe them with Your strength and fill their hearts with Your peace. Amen.
